# Kdb+ installation

Hi,

I followed all instructions to install q on my Windows 7 system including setting QHOME environment variable. &nbsp;However, each time after i click q.exe under w32 folder, there will a black window appears then disappear right away. &nbsp;I can’t see any thing of this window since it disappear too quickly. &nbsp;I can’t get q command window. &nbsp;Anyone knows what goes wrong? &nbsp;Thanks.
