Hi there

We need to run Kx Platform on a mac M1 under Parallels.

Issues that arise in installation

- ARM 64-bit isn’t a defined architecture in the platform install scripts

- q binary included in the distro is intel-only. However the free downloadable version includes ‘LINUX-ARM’ as a supported architecture. Is there a ARM version of 64-bit q? If so we could give this a go.

cheers

Simon

Hi Simon,

Thanks for raising this query on the Community portal, and apologies in the delayed response.

Regarding the KX Platform installer, ARM 64-bit isn’t defined as it’s not a supported architecture at this time.

We do have a ARM 64-bit version of kdb for Linux and macOS for v4.1t that can be downloaded from downloads.kx.com - **note** this is a test version and is not intended, nor supported for production usage.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

David
