From

http://code.kx.com/wiki/Startingkdbplus/introduction#1.4\_Install\_Trial\_System

in Windows:

```
c:\q / main q directoryc:\q\w32 / location of w32 executable
```

If you need to install q elsewhere, set the environment variable QHOME to point to the new directory. If QHOME is not defined, kdb+ defaults to $HOME/q for unix-based systems, and c:\q for Windows.
