i had never looked at this because i thought q, k and J would teach me all i needed to know. ?i’ve got a lot of study to do!

for those that know - would you call this the root of all APL? ?is there an earlier published document that might be called the germ of APL?

I was actually looking for this a while back. Thanks for sharing.

I think it is fair to call “A Programming Language” the germ of APL.

Are you trying to say it was a small bug?

Never.  The rudiment of a living organism, for sure.
