AquaQ Analytics releases online training courses for kdb+

Hi all,

AquaQ Analytics (www.aquaq.co.uk) is pleased to announce today the release of a new series of online training courses for kdb+ and q. This latest offering is in addition to the classroom-based training courses and kdb+ consultancy services provided by the company to clients today.

The courses, starting with kdb+ Bootcamp and kdb+ Booster , have been designed by some of the most experienced kdb+ consultants globally and can be found at training.aquaq.co.uk. The online material for each course includes a series of instructional videos, downloadable slides, sample q code, and self-assessment questions. Learners who attain a sufficient score in the end of course assessment will be awarded a certificate of completion in the form of a virtual badge.

? kdb+ Bootcamp is aimed at developers and data analysts who are new to kdb+ and want to obtain a good grounding in the use of the technology. This is the equivalent of a 3-day introductory classroom-based training course in kdb+.

? kdb+ Booster is a course aimed at end-users who want to learn how to query and analyze data from an existing kdb+ database.

Interested parties can try out the Free kdb+ Taster course to get a feel for the material with no additional commitment. The company will soon be adding the next course which takes users through the AquaQ TorQ Framework** for kdb+**. This framework, which can be downloaded directly from http://www.aquaq.co.uk/products/, was released to the kx community for free earlier in the year.

Announcing the release of the training site, CEO Ronan Pairceir commented ?We are very excited to be releasing our new online kdb+ training resource to the marketplace. Internally in AquaQ Analytics, these courses have significantly decreased the learning time required for our new staff members to become acquainted with the q programming language. Being able to assimilate the information at the learner?s own pace and revisit the material time and again online is invaluable. I also see this as a great training resource for all of the new developers exploring the 32 bit version of kdb+, which is now free for commercial use.?
