(I’m also asking these questions via more traditional venues, but I’mvery appreciative of any developer / user thoughts.)When evaluating kdb+/q vs. something like StreamBase/StreamSQL, whatare the correct questions to ask, outside of “which is faster”?In terms of functionality, the only thing I’ve been able to find onthe net is vague claims about the CEP engines more gracefully handlingqueries involving “exists” and “before” logic. I can’t believe Ican’t build that sort of thing in q with some simple vector lookups.Again, I’m afraid I’m trying to misuse the product, but given that Ihave a powerful language in q, seamless access to live/persistentdata, and (now that I understand) the ability to interface with ashared lib ticker plant, what is it that StreamBase/CorAleri/Apama canoffer that I can’t build?

the only thing that comes to my mind is “they have nice gui”.
