Kx published new 32 Bit Kdb+ Software License Agreement that explicitly forbids using 32-bid kdb+ in a production application: http://kx.com/software-download.php
Please note that this change only applies to the current and future versions of 32-bit kdb+, and only relates to production commercial use of the software. Normal development and educational usage is unchanged.
Previous versions of kdb+ that were downloaded prior to the change (09/13/2015) are also unaffected, and do permit commercial use of 32-bit kdb+.
We made this difficult decision based on legal risks associated with our customers using the unsupported free 32-bit version of kdb+ for commercial use.

Taking candy from a kid. That’s a bit disappointing given many would have built production systems who now cannot upgrade.
n.b. Versions/releases that were available for download under the previous license terms are v3.1 2014.03.27 thru v3.3 2015.08.23.
kdb+v3.3 2015.09.02 was made available for download on 2015.09.13, and hence is subject to the updated terms.
