Problems with Compression On Windows

If I set for compression:     .z.zd:(17;2;6)

and then create a splayed, partitioned table.

and then subsequent attempt to access this splayed/partitioned/compressed table then q.exe crashes. 

“select from t” is sufficient to trigger the crash provided “t” was created compressed.

I have tried different compression:
    .z.zd:(17;1;0)

Same problem.

If I do not use compression, then there’s no problem.

A bug with compression, under Windows?

Note: this problem did not exist in the version which expires 2013.10.02, but has existed (I think) in every version since then, including the current one due to expire 2013.12.28.

Can you give exact scenario/code to reproduce? e.g. this does not crash under windows using latest w32 build

q).z.zd:17 1 0

q)`:t/ set (a:1000000#0)

`:t/

q)select from get `:t/

a

0

0

0

0

0

sorry, that does crash. We’ll look into it.

that’s now fixed in kdb+v3.1 2013.10.01
(It was a different problem to the one you reported earlier this year.)
