Maybe I have been looking at the wrong place all along… May I know where the Q idioms page (
https://code.kx.com/wiki/Qidioms) is located after the migration to MediaWiki? I cannot seem to find the page now.
Thanks! I was not aware of this /oldwiki/ path.
By way of context: the wiki was frozen two years ago. The documentation has moved on since then. Weve kept it up partly to honour well-established bookmarks in your browsers, while Google Search finds its way to the current documentation. We will remove the wiki when we can see everyone is ready. Youre welcome to take and run your own copy if you really, really want it.
As part of this evolution we recently redirected all /wiki requests to an obituary page at code.kx.com/v2/wiki. In an ideal world we would map and 301 every wiki page to its V2 equivalent URI. But that would take hundreds of redirect rules. So the obituary page is part of persuading search engines to drop wiki pages from their results. And he wiki continues to run (for those who must have it) at /oldwiki.
The Q Idioms page is a special case. It has not been migrated to the new site. It should be. Its ancestors, the FinnAPL Idiom Library, the J Phrases, and Gene McDonnells K Idiom List are valuable resources for their respective languages. The Q Idioms page consists of the K Idiom List, about half of it translated into q. We mean to revive and host it as a separate GitHub repo, organized along the lines of the FinnAPL Idiom Library. I hope youll contribute.

Putting Q Idioms in a github repo is an excellent idea and can be a valuable resource for the community. I will be delighted to contribute to the q port
Sure! I’ll be more than honoured to contribute. Just let me know how.
I really love a Idioms page as it had helped me out numerous times while I was still picking up q and when I was becoming forgetful. :^P
