A single ipc msg is limited to 2 billion bytes, due to the underlying limit on a vector being 2 billion elements.
kdb+ v3.0 will remove this limit on vectors, but any single ipc message will remain limited to 2 billion bytes.
actually, I wonder why we post this on the google group,
as this group is intended for non-commercial users of kdb+, which is a 32bit version.
