this uses an old version of k (ie not kdb+) so I’ve replied off-list
In the q console you can use \ to switch back to k.
But as far as I know the burst program works only in an older version of k. And Prof. Shasha also provides the older version from his website.
Please check this.

Do you mind to tell us more what you want to do?
I remember that I have started a toy project to port his code to q. If you are interested just let me know.

Betreff: [personal kdb+] How to run k language program

Hi all,

I’ve just received burst.k from Prof. Shasha.
http://cs.nyu.edu/cs/faculty/shasha/papers/burst.d/burst.html

According to the above page’s instruction,
I have to download trial K from kx.com.
But I can not find K.
( I’ve already downloaded q from kx.com and it does work. )

Kindly could you tell me how to run k language program?

Regards,
