After following the double click windows install instructions here http://code.kx.com/wiki/Tutorials/Installation the cmd prompt screen simply flashes for a split second then goes away.
any thoughts on how to fix?
I would think kdb+ when it starts, it cannot find q.k and exits - unfortunately that also closes the cmd window. Did you follow the instructions to define the environment var QHOME? That should allow kdb+ to locate q.k.
Otherwise I’d suggest following the instructions for the cmd window method.
Sorry for the bother - we keep weighing up whether we should have an installer for this.
